About Baltic Sail

Baltic Sail is an international agreement between cities of the Baltic Sea region, initiated in 1996 by the German port of Rostock.
Its founders aimed — and still aim — to promote the maritime heritage of the Baltic and support traditional sailing across the region, from port to port.

Today, Baltic Sail includes the cities of Gdańsk, Nysted, Karlskrona, Klaipėda, Rostock, Sassnitz, and Turku.
This year, once again, each of these partner ports will host sailing festivals celebrating the maritime traditions of the Baltic Sea — bringing them closer to both locals and visitors.
